I'm interested in what happens at the scale of human-to-human interaction and in how the things we do every day that may seem invisible from a distance — actually have an impact on where we are going and, it follows, on future generations. Feminists have been saying this forever. Making visible the invisible, we can better understand how we practice the kind of love and care we want to see in the world.

The world is going electric. Not just cars, buildings too. Why? Well, including homes, buildings, emit approximately 13% of all US greenhouse gases (GHG), the pollutants that cause climate change, not counting the pollution from generating electricity offsite. The only way to operate a zero carbon building (which differs from a net zero carbon building) is to avoid gas appliances and make your home all-electric powered by renewable energy.

The Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM) tool was developed in Europe to accelerate the decarbonization and climate change resilience of the EU real estate sector. CRREM focuses on the carbon efficiency and retrofit requirements of investment decisions by evaluating the financial risks associated with low energy performance and evolving regulations for building stock.
