For nearly 15 years Hans has been providing whole building energy performance simulation for a wide variety of projects and types of clients. From developers and building owners to architects and LEED consultants, his expertise is primarily focused on identifying Energy Efficiency Measures with the greatest impact that improve both the project's cost-effectiveness and energy performance, reduce operational costs and emissions, and help achieve its sustainability goals.
Hans has continually demonstrated his deep experience with sustainability goals and programs such as Zero Energy (ZNE) Certification, Carbon Emission Reduction, LEED, GreenPoint Rated, Title 24, EnergyStar, and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). He has completed over 70 successful LEED submittals, focusing on energy, indoor air quality, and thermal comfort.
As an integral member of ZCS’s project design team, he adds value as your Energy Consultant helping owners and developers identify targeted sustainability goals and budgets, providing ZCE Feasibility Analysis and Life Cycle Assessments, working closely with utility companies to maximize incentives from energy efficiency incentive programs, including Savings By Design (SBD) and the California Advanced Home Partnership (CAHP), and providing peer review analysis targeting ZNE certification.
