Westfield Century City

The Westfield Century City mall was completely reimagined and redeveloped to thrive in a rapidly changing retail environment. The $1 billion project added substantial space through the addition of a second story and the mall was refocused to provide a wider range of services and experiences, including more restaurants and new performance and gathering spaces. It remains an open air mall. New Macys and Nordstrom stores were constructed and additional parking provided. A Purple Line subway station is under construction adjacent to the project.

ZCS worked on the project for approximately 10 years, first advising URW on sustainability issues during entitlement and, during construction, managing CALGreen and entitlement compliance, serving as mitigation monitor, and teaming with Gensler on the LEED Gold certification.
